Michaelbrent Collings’ Ultimate Horror List

I adore Michaelbrent and his works. He’s a pretty phenomenal guy and he just put together the coolest list of favorite horror books and movies as suggested by his friends! AND I AM ONE OF THEM. Click here to check out the ultimate horror rec list, just in time for Halloween!  What books or movies would you suggest?

Also, check out Michaelbrent’s work. I adored Apparition, which was genuinely creepy. For a good time, read his The Longest Con, which has several authors (including yours truly!) as main characters. It’s truly a hoot. Also, his book Predators was so enjoyable that I recommended it be put on the 2018 Bram Stoker reading list. Between his books and the ultimate horror rec list, you’ll be set for a long time to come. 🙂

Come to Miss Murder’s Reading at Joe Maxx Coffee Company! And a Free Raffle!

Beginning the blanket you’ll win!

I’m absolutely delighted to be reading at the  Joe Maxx Coffee Company’s Dime Grinds this Sunday, October 1. Dime Grinds is a free live reading program from 2-4 PM where you can listen to readings, ask the authors questions, buy books, and enjoy book signings. Coffee is ten cents a cup, so kick back and enjoy!

I’ll also be holding a free raffle for a soft, flannel Halloween blanket that I made. I started it in my hotel room during the Storymaker’s conference (which is one of the best writing conferences I’ve ever been to) and I’m finishing it up now. In fact, it’s lying on the floor in pieces as we speak. Everybody who attends the reading get a ticket. If you purchase one of my books online or at the reading, you get a second ticket. The winner will be drawn out of a hat there at the reading, and boom! You go home with a handmade blanket for the darkest of holidays. Your chances of winning are exceptional, so come on by! I hope to see you. 🙂

Stop 8: Booklife Now. And A Halloween Signing!

Booklife Now is one of my favorite resources for authors.  And the sweet suckers, er, folk there were kind enough to join in the Beautiful Sorrows blog tour.  I wrote an article on writing when you don’t have the time.  Does that sound familiar to anybody else? Thank you so much, Booklife Now! I appreciate it. 🙂

Also, if you’re in Las Vegas and you’re looking for something to do on this fine All Hallow’s Eve, why don’t you stop by the Underworld Grill and Bar tonight? We’re celebrating Halloween with their Wicked Wednesday lineup! I’ll be signing books, and there will be DJs spinning. It starts at 10:00, and will be lots of fun! There’s also a costume contest at midnight.  Hope to see you there!

When Your Child Picks the Most Obscene Pumpkin in the Patch

Seriously.  I didn’t know what to say.  I still don’t.

Still, we saved this pumpkin from the unruly frat boy who would have done horrible, horrible things to it.  I feel good about this.  And since it was my darling four-year-old who chose this particular obscenity, I merely flipped it around and called it a heart.

This, dear ones, is called a spin.  And it was a darn good one. Happy Halloween, friends.  Be safe!

A Happy Announcement! Demons!

Friends! I can’t tell you how cool this is, and how excited I am! My little ole story “Daisies and Demons” has made it into John Skipp’s very cool Demons: Encounters with the Devil and His Minions, Fallen Angels, and the Possessed anthologyCan’t you just taste my excitement?  Do you see this super fantastic group of peopleI’m sharing a TOC with? Happy Dances for all!

Demons is slated to come out this October.  I’ll sign my story with a lipstick kiss if you bring it to me. 😉
